As part of the GoGreen 2025 program, CLEAN Maldives distributed fruit plants to island households in HA. Dhidhdhoo. The initiative takes reforestation beyond organised planting events, encouraging families to grow productive, fruit-bearing trees within their own homes and compounds.

Plants distributed

Four species of fruit plants were distributed to households: mango, guava, rose apple and jackfruit — all well-suited to the Maldivian climate and capable of providing lasting food and shade for island communities.

Community impact

By placing plants directly in the hands of residents, the program creates a distributed network of green cover across the island — making every household a participant in CLEAN Maldives' broader greening mission.
