Climate Certificate for Women in Resilient Food System in Maldives
Climate change is stressing the four pillars of food security - availability, access, utilization, and stability. Small island states like the Maldives who are heavily dependent on imports for their food requirements are hit worse when a crisis occurs. When a crisis like this occurs, especially vulnerable groups, like women, are more affected by these shocks. The Climate Certificate for Women in Resilient Food Systems in Maldives program kick-start the entrepreneurial journey in the domain.
This 8-month program is being implemented by Clean Maldives and Climate Collective Foundation. Climate Certificate for Women in Resilient Food Systems is supported by the Australian High Commission to Sri Lanka and the Maldives through a Direct Aid Program Grant and hence offered at no charge to the participants.
